Last week I introduced Thankful Thursday. This is something that I hope to continue each week as I feel it’s a very positive and beneficial thing to do. Last week I told you that I had seen this on another blog and after reading her post last week it reiterated to me how important this truly is: http://aplacecalledsimplicity.blogspot.com/2009/03/thankful-thursday-march-5-2009.html
She starts out by reminding us that “Thankfulness is a conscious decision.” I honestly don’t think I’d ever thought about it that way, but it most certainly is. So in my attempts to be more positive, less rigid and enjoy life exactly where I am at today…here are a few of the things I am thankful for this Thursday…
- God…how can I not be thankful for God each and every day? “Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” -1 Thessalonians 5:18
Facebook– Facebook? Wait a minute, did I just really say I’m thankful for that?!?!? Yup, I said Facebook! Oh dear….I’ve put off joining Facebook for a long time and for many reasons, one because I didn’t care for the 'public-ness' of it. But…I joined and I’ve been able to reconnect with some old friends and share memories from years ago and so for that, I am thankful!- I am thankful for the responses I received from my post last Thursday where I pretty much put everything out there about myself and my past. I was overwhelmed with your support and love. I found myself brought to tears by some of the things you in turn shared with me about the change you’ve seen in my life. They were good tears and for each of you, I am thankful!
- I am thankful for some wonderful coffee time with friends recently. We were able to meet for coffee and catch up on life. I am so thankful for these wonderful, supportive, Christian friends in my life. (and of course love any excuse for a White Chocolate Mocha..yum!)

- I am thankful for some great family time last weekend! I was able to spend some time with my parents, Kyle & Ian (Andrea was working) – we had dinner and just hung out. Ian was a blast and we had some awesome play time. The little man can belly laugh from his piggy toes, I think. (yes...he is laughing in this picture)
- I am also thankful that my ‘girls’ (Cavalier Rescue friends) are coming up from Indiana next weekend and we get to have a girls weekend in Saugatuck! I am so looking forward to them meeting Faith and some much needed girl time. I will probably be thankful for that next week too, but I am this week as well….I’m sooooo looking forward to it and thankful to have them in my life!
